For the people who own the cell on a shift. Covers the routine - changeovers, first-off checks, common faults - and the judgement of when to fix, when to stop, and when to call someone.

  1. 1.The routine

    2.5 hrs

    Start-up, changeover and first-off verification.

  2. 2.Common faults

    3 hrs

    The small number of causes behind most unplanned downtime.

    • Diagnose the most common causes of downtime
  3. 3.Fix, stop, or escalate

    1.5 hrs

    Judgement under production pressure, and the handover record.

    • Decide correctly between fixing, stopping and escalating
  4. 4.The shift handover

    1 hrs

    Handing a cell over mid-issue: the record and the conversation that stop the next shift starting from zero.

    • Hand over a cell so the next shift keeps its history

How it is delivered

A facilitator runs the course live, in person or blended. Attendance is taken per session, participants submit work against the modules above, and a facilitator grades it. Those records stay with the organisation and can be exported.
